About the Blogger

Welcome to my blog! Whether you happened to stumble upon it while browsing or you perchance heard about me through a very long and complicated chain of people, “I am glad you are here with me” (as Tolkien would say).

My name is Ellie Keierleber. I am a 20-year-old Media Design student at Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I am a small-town girl, and if you know anything about South Dakota, you know a prominent part of the economy is agriculture. I grew up riding in combines, running through corn mazes, picking strawberries, and chasing chickens.

The oldest of four kids, I gained a great sense of responsibility at a young age. My mom homeschooled all four of us, start to finish, in a classical manner (meaning I did six years of Latin). I participated in my local school’s elementary soccer league until I discovered martial arts, and have been involved in karate for close to ten years now.

I was raised in the Christian faith, attending church since I was young, participating in multiple short-term mission trips around the U.S., and even going on a month-long mission trip to the country of Eswatini, Africa. I left part of my heart with those people in that country, and long to return to them one day.

I have always had a passion for art, whether it was painting, sketching, or crafting, and an eye for beauty. Becoming a designer has always been my dream, and I am excited to pursue my passion and create a career out of it, a career doing something I love.
