Connection is Key

The most important thing a brand can do is get to know its audience. It is crucial for businesses to plug in to their local communities by sponsoring and attending events, supporting organizations and groups, and hosting events, which help people to get to know your brand and trust your products or services. Getting to know people and the community helps to know who your consumers are and what they are looking for.

A brand cannot predict what its customers are going to want without trial and error. During my interview with McKenna, the Kitchen Manager at Oh My Cupcakes, a local bakery in Sioux Falls, she said that it is nearly impossible to know what product is going to work well, but it is important to keep an open mind and always try new things, because you never know what the consumers might love.
