- Create an illustrator (.ai) file that contains your graphics and text (make sure all text is converted into an outline)
- Graphics filled with 100% black will be the deepest etch; anything less than 100% black will be a softer engraving
- Set your materials in the engraver, making sure it is centered on the laser bed
- Focus the laser head using the focus tool (or autofocus). The focus tool is attached to the laser head. Raise the laser bed until the focus tool is pushed off
- Import your file into the engraver software, and if the laser has a camera, turn the camera on to see the material in the engraver
- Center graphics and create job
- Always change the material settings to the material you are using
- Push to laser and start
