Getting Started
Every good designer has to start somewhere. For me, it was getting familiar with Adobe Suite and the tools in the different programs, while learning about client needs.
Creature Feature Zoo Map
For this assignment, I created a fun, colorful, easy–to–read map of a zoo. The target audience was children needing something to engage with and an informational map for parents.
During this assignment, I practiced with the pen tool and gradient tool, and worked with clipping masks in Illustrator.

Isometric
To learn how to set up Actions in Illustrator, I used the gradient tool, shape tool, and line tool to create a 3D rendition of my house.

Info Poster
To utilize different fonts, I created an info poster for Kempo Karate, the martial arts I participate in. The purpose of this assignment was to apply the main design elements, such as–
- Unity
- Variety
- Hierarchy
- Contrast
- Balance
I aimed to maintain proper eye flow and direction in my design. Hierarchy was an important part as well, to help direct the eye and dictate what elements were more important than others.
